On the northern hemisphere, summer astrophotography is about the deep and wide field of red glowing hydrogen regions in the arms of the Milky Way. This image is also about them. NGC6914 is a hydrogen emission region in the constellation Cygnus. During a holiday I managed to get out to the Croatian mountains where both the climate and light pollution condition was perfect to shoot this brilliant region with it’s dark dust lanes, bright stars and glowing hydrogen.
