Headwaters of the Snake River Milky Way
by Stephen Wheatcraft

Description

I took this shot during the New Moon, Aug. 28, 2019 a few miles south of the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, USA. The actual local time was 9:55pm.

This quiet stream is called Polecat Creek, and feeds into the headwaters of the Snake River just around the corner out of sight.

Details:
The image is a combination (in Photoshop) of a guided shot with sharp stars and an unguided shot with sharp foreground. I used a Nikon D850 with a NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 mounted on an iOptron SkyGuider Pro.
